GCC allied health summer program

As part of the Pioneer Valley Health Careers Opportunity Program (PV-HCOP), Greenfield Community College (GCC) will host an intensive four-week allied health summer program. The program is designed for incoming, first-year college students. Students will be exposed to the variety of allied health careers and will learn about resources available to them in a college setting including support services, the library, advising, etc.

Summer Program Objectives:

  • Students will learn about the variety of allied health careers
  • Students will learn the academic requirements associated with particular allied health careers
  • Students will engage in college-level work
  • Students will develop college study skills
  • Students will explore what learning styles and approaches are best suited for them individually
  • Students will get oriented to Greenfield Community College and learn what services and support the college provides
  • Students will engage in collaborative academic and skill building projects that serve to connect them to others at the college
